Vareo brings decades of experience in water expertise to the solutions we design, procure, construct, install and commission. We use our resources from around the globe to leverage technical expertise locally. We work with and are trusted by some of the largest and most successful companies in the world who command the highest standards in technical safety, process integrity and delivery assurance. We self-perform our work so that our customers have the peace of mind that delivery risk resides with one single point of accountability.
Being at the forefront of innovative research and development of water technologies enables Vareo to deliver future-proof solutions with sustainability at its core.
Our in-house subject matter experts are dedicated to delivering technical excellence by designing fit for purpose solutions with process integrity and sustainability integral to their functionality.
Our modular systems are assembled and pre-commissioned in the UK and in the Middle East and can shipped anywhere in the world.
Using a variety of solutions comprising gravity, indirect gravity, pumped, retention ponds, underground storage, reservoirs, water butts and more, Vareo develop best fit-for-purpose solutions to harvest rainwater by leveraging its extensive experience of hydrological cycles.
Vareo employs a variety of water storage solutions, above and below ground dependent on capacity requirements, application, treatment and quality requirements. This is often driven by ambient temperature, system volume off-take, applicable flow rates and staged holding tanks which may or may not be combined with treatment, for example, chemical dosing.
Water recycling and reclamation works hand-in-hand with our water treatment solutions by utilizing a variety of processes and staged treatments to remove contaminants, then recycling to create a closed-loop water management process. Recycling can be used in a variety of ways to reduce gross feed water, reduce burden and power requirements on pumps, system efficiency and much more. Whether recycling water be used for cooling in a refinery, flushing or injection, the very fact that it is recycled builds in efficiency, reduces burden on process systems, and reduces operational costs. This all contributes to sustainability.
By developing water systems which are both functional and sustainable, efficiency and so conservation is maximized by leveraging the benefits of effective recycling and harvesting, pollution protection and redistribution. When this is measured against millions of gallons per hour, it becomes very meaningful in how the effective conservation of water supports sustainability.
Our water treatment solutions comprise large warehouse and commercial buildings to industrial scale waste water treatment plants and cooling systems often embedded within or in support of other facilities, oil and gas production facilities. Processes we commonly adopt include phase separation (such as sedimentation), biological and chemical processes (such as oxidation) or polishing, brine treatment, solids removal (e.g. chemical precipitation, filtration), oils and grease removal, removal of biodegradable organics, removal of other organics, removal of acids and alkalis, and removal of toxic materials. Depending upon the requirements of our customer and the desired end product, we will design our systems until the water can be disposed of or reused safely.
Many industries have a need to treat water to obtain very high quality water for their processes. This might include pure chemical synthesis or boiler feed water. Our solutions are designed to be fit-for-purpose where efficiency and process integrity is fundamental to our systems. We work closely with our customers to ensure their requirements are adequately and effectively met.
It goes without saying that water quality, depending upon the desired end product following water treatment, if not disposed, could be critical to another part of a bigger system or process. Vareo's testing is rigorous, structured and routine, ensuring our customers can be assured that desired water quality is satisfied.
Depending on geographical location, required volumes and metrological norms, rainwater is free. Perfect!
Recycling water, whether grey water, saline or industrial water, means we're saving water and enhancing plant productivity.
Managing and controlling water wastage through active leak management assures process integrity and optimum transmission.
Send us some details about your requirements and we will contact you to discuss how we can support you. When you send us information, please include your location and confirm whether your requirements are for a new development or retrofit system. If you are able to share information concerning capacity, volumes, off-take demand, the type of system, we will make sure we connect you with the right person. We can help you plan with support of basic engineering, FEED and detailed design depending upon your requirements.
Potable water, also known as drinking water, usually comes from surface and ground sources and is treated to levels that meet regional, state and federal standards for consumption. Water from natural sources is treated for microorganisms, bacteria, toxic chemicals, viruses and fecal matter.
VAREO’s Wastewater Storage Tanks are engineered to be fit for purpose in accordance with the storage and process requirements of a specified application. Our Industrial Wastewater Tanks are designed to effectively contain and tolerate assorted acids and extreme bases. They are designed to support every stage of water treatment.
Our cooling tower water treatment systems typically include an arrangement of technologies that remove damaging impurities from your cooling tower feed water, circulation water, and/or blowdown. Our industrial applications usually require some type of cooling tower water treatment system to ensure an efficient process and long equipment operational life.
Simply put, a pump station is used to lift or move water when no gravity flow can be achieved. Float switches monitor the high and low levels of water in the tank and depending upon the application flow rate and temperature metering. As water enters the tank and fills up, the float switch activates the pump to move the water to its desired location. There are different types of pump stations depending on the application and water it is receiving.
Clarification is an essential step in a water or wastewater treatment process to remove suspended solids through gravity settling, providing a clarified liquid effluent. Vareo adopts a variety of methodologies depending on the application and capacity. A secondary function of a clarifier is the removal of floating matter (scum), which has accumulated on the water surface.
After water has been filtered, we may add one or more chemical disinfectants (such as chlorine, chloramine, or chlorine dioxide) to kill any remaining parasites, bacteria, or viruses. This is disinfection. Chlorination, ozone, ultraviolet light, and chloramines are primary methods for disinfection. However, potassium permanganate, photocatalytic disinfection, nanofiltration, and chlorine dioxide can also be used.
Deionization water treatment systems use ion exchange processes to remove total dissolved solids and ionized minerals from water supplies. Water deionization replaces positive and negative charged particles, or ions, with hydrogen and hydroxyl, meaning the newly exchanged particles will readily form pure water.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water treatment process that removes contaminants from water by using pressure to force water molecules through a semipermeable membrane. During this process, the contaminants are filtered out and flushed away, leaving clean, delicious drinking water.
During filtration, the clear water passes through filters that have different pore sizes and are made of different materials (such as sand, gravel, and charcoal). These filters remove dissolved particles and germs, such as dust, chemicals, parasites, bacteria, and viruses.
Degasification removes dissolved gases from liquids. It plays an essential role in applications where the presence of gases in a liquid would be detrimental, such as mobile phases for HPLC and numerous organic reactions. By removing oxygen avoids exposing oxygen-sensitive compounds to its effects, and reduces oxidation problems. Oxygen in the presence of other dissolved compounds, such as ammonia, can lead to other types of corrosion that affect piping and components.
Screening is a critical component of wastewater treatment plants. Wastewater contains large solids and grit that can interfere with treatment processes or cause undue mechanical wear and increased maintenance, making the entire system less efficient. To minimize potential problems, Screening, as the first-stage operation used at wastewater treatment plants, removes problematic constituents from the influent wastewater and prevents expensive damage and clogging of downstream equipment, piping, and appurtenances.
Water purification for consumption purposes consists in the removal of different contaminants as chemicals (i.e., pollutants, toxic metals), biological contaminants (algae, bacteria, fungi, parasites, viruses), suspended solids, and gases. There are several methods used in the water purification process, which include: (1) physical processes, such as filtration, sedimentation, or distillation; (2) biological processes, such as sand filters, active carbon; (3) chemical processes, such as flocculation, chlorination, and the use of ultraviolet light.
